Feixue Pavilion, armut çiçeği formundan esinlenen beş örtüşen beton levhadan oluşuyor.

Feixue Pavilion, armut çiçeğinin beş taç yaprağından ilham alan bir kurgu doğrultusunda, farklı kotlarda konumlanan bağımsız beton döşemelerin üst üste yerleşmesiyle şekilleniyor. Katmanlar arasında bırakılan boşluklar gün ışığının iç mekânlara süzülmesini sağlarken, yapının kütlesel etkisini de azaltıyor. Dağ yamacına yerleşen yapı, mevcut topoğrafya ve bitki örtüsüne uyumlu bir yerleşim kurgusu oluşturuyor.

Çatı tasarımı, bölgedeki su depolamalı düz dam geleneğini referans alıyor; yüzeyde oluşturulan sığ su katmanı ise gökyüzünü ve çevredeki peyzajı yansıtıyor. Beton duvarlar sertleşme sonrasında elle yontularak işleniyor ve böylece kaya yüzeylerini çağrıştıran dokulu bir karakter kazanıyor.

The Feixue Pavilion consists of five overlapping concrete slabs inspired by the form of a pear petals.

The Feixue Pavilion takes shape through the layering of independent concrete slabs positioned at different levels, following a design inspired by the five petals of a pear blossom. The voids left between the layers allow natural light to filter into the interior spaces while also reducing the building’s massing effect. The building, set on a mountain slope, establishes a settlement strategy that responds to the existing topography and vegetation.

The roof design references the region’s traditional flat roofs used for water storage; a shallow layer of water on the surface reflects the sky and the surrounding landscape. After curing, the concrete walls are hand-carved, giving them a textured character that evokes natural rock surfaces.
