The Simple Present Tense is used in English to talk about general truths, habitual actions, and scheduled events. It is also used to express facts, opinions, and to narrate events in books or movies. The Simple Present Tense is formed differently depending on the subject:

For the third person singular (he, she, it), we usually add "s" or "es" to the base form of the verb:

Examples: He eats an apple every day. She runs in the park. It goes to school.
For all other subjects (I, you, we, they), and for the plural forms of nouns, we use the base form of the verb without any changes:

Examples: I eat breakfast every morning. You work hard. We go to the movies. They play soccer.
Here are some additional key points about the Simple Present Tense:

Use the Simple Present to describe habits or actions that are repeated regularly:

Example: She brushes her teeth twice a day.
Use it to state general truths or facts:

Example: The Earth revolves around the sun.
Use it to express opinions or beliefs:

Example: I think he is a talented musician.
Use it to describe scheduled events or future arrangements:

Example: The meeting starts at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
For negative sentences, use the auxiliary verb "do" + "not" (don't/doesn't) + base form of the verb:

Example: They do not like spicy food. He doesn't play video games.
For interrogative sentences, use the auxiliary verb "do" + subject + base form of the verb:

Example: Do you like chocolate? Does she work on weekends?
For short answers, use the auxiliary verb "do" or "does" + "not" (don't/doesn't):

Example: "Do you like ice cream?" - "Yes, I do." / "No, I don't."
Remember that there are some irregular verbs in English, such as "have" (he has), "go" (he goes), and "do" (he does), which have different forms in the Simple Present Tense for the third person singular.

Overall, the Simple Present Tense is used to express actions, habits, and facts that are true in the present or occur regularly.
