"I was looking for the spirit of Brazil. Not the beautiful kids on the misty beach. Something more. Scouring the hot streets, looking for people. Faces in the crowd. A look, a glance. A smile. And we found Medal Man. A pharmacist by trade. His white hat and two pairs of glasses. A true original. And when I saw his smile and heard his laugh, I realised we hadn’t just found one of Copacabana’s fabulous eccentrics. We’d found Brazil."
