Marie Curie is the only person to win the Noble Prize in 2 different sciences (Physics and Chemistry).
She developed the theory of radioactivity, discovered 2 elements (polonium and radium) and conducted the very first studies where tumors were treated with radiation. Unfortunately, she died from aplastic anemia from exposure to radiation.
