A renewed mind is no longer a prisoner to the bo***ge of old ideas and ideals. When God told Pharaoh, ‘Let my people go, so that they may worship me’, the physical captivity was obvious but the mental captivity for the children of Israel was not.
Galatians 5 joyously echoes that, ‘It is for freedom that Christ has set us free’! We are further exhorted to stand firm in this freedom and to not be enslaved again. By receiving His power, our minds are renewed and this leads us to open doors of freedom where we can live our best life by living life with Him.
