Male lion behavior.
Male lions are the main guardians of their pride and group (pride), using words, to indicate authority, intruders and other males. They do not hunt often but instead eat prey caught by females.
They have a long mane of hair on their neck (mane) that grows blacker with age to attract females and show strength.
