Why do experiences with .travel feel so personal?

Perhaps because everything begins with the land.

We don’t believe in creating experiences around wildlife. We believe in protecting the ecosystems that allow wildlife to thrive.

We don’t create encounters. We wait for them.

We don’t import a dining experience. We grow it. Through .ltd , much of what reaches the table is rooted in the very landscapes our guests come to explore.

And we don’t rush people through a checklist of sightings.

Northern Tanzania rewards those who slow down.

Here, beneath Mount Meru and in the shadow of Kilimanjaro, there is still space to connect with the people, the wildlife and the rhythm of the land itself.

Perhaps that’s what people feel when they arrive.

Not a safari.
A sense of belonging 🫶

For a little while, at least.

Follow .travel for a different way to safari in Tanzania.

POV: you wake up to this view in Tanzania.

This is Hatari Lodge — set on the edge of Arusha National Park, with Mount Meru rising behind the landscape and wildlife moving through the plains around you.

Not the typical safari route.

Just wide views, quiet mornings, giraffe near the lodge, forest, lakes, mountain air and a slower way to experience Northern Tanzania.
travel brings together Hatari Lodge, Shu’mata Camp and Wondergarden — creating a safari experience rooted in place, wildlife, food, farmers and the road less travelled.

All roads less travelled, lead to Hatari.

Sometimes safaris are best travelled by a canoe 👌

At Momella Lakes, the wild is slower, quieter and closer to the water.

A different way to safari.
A different way to see Arusha National Park.
