Elias visited Edmund Rice Secondary School in Arusha. It was wonderful to reconnect with the 12 students currently studying here through our sponsorship program.
Edmund Rice is a private boarding school where these students are given the opportunity to fully develop their potential. This high-quality education path is only possible thanks to sponsors who are willing to go the extra mile. Education is about more than just grades; it’s about providing the right environment where a student can find their own strength.
We are extremely proud of these students, for adjusting to a new environment, supporting each other and showing their full potential 🧡

Last week marked the end of an inspiring season with our three intern-teachers from Thomas More-hogeschool and Stien, our Diversity & Gender intern from Universiteit Gent
Together they brought fresh perspectives and active learning to Baraa Primary School and Siringit Foundation.
While the future teachers focused on empowering students in the classroom, Stien helped us shape the foundation of Kesho Yangu, our new talent development program. Their dedication reminds us that education is about more than just exams; it’s about building a future full of opportunities.
Thank you for walking alongside us in Arusha. We are proud! 🧡

Last Friday we said goodbye to our intern-teachers from KdG - Karel de Grote Hogeschool
Over the past few months, they have become a part of the Baraa Primary School family.
Thank you for your dedication, your smiles and living our mission of bringing hope through quality education! You will be missed! 🧡
We cheer for the holiday!
All schools are closed for a holiday of one week for Easter. Our office is still opened, we continue behind the screens 🐣

KESHO YANGU - My Tomorrow
We’ve started Kesho Yangu (My Tomorrow), a series of sessions for our secondary school students, focused on talent development and future orientation.
In Form 1, we begin exploring students’ strengths, interests and the different paths they can take after secondary school. Through guided conversations and exercises, we help them reflect on who they are and what possibilities are out there.
As they move through secondary school, these sessions will gradually become more practical, supporting them in making informed choices about subjects, studies and future careers.

Break time at Baraa Primary School 🏀
We introduced basketball games to give students more ways to stay active and have fun in between lessons.
Our Standard 5 students hit the court today, and the girls were strong!

Baraa Primary School received a thoughtful donation of school supplies through Pack for a Purpose by Travel Elevates
What makes this initiative so valuable is its focus on real needs. Travelers choose to make space in their luggage for items that local projects truly need, or they can purchase these items locally. In this way, donations reach the right organizations in a respectful and ethical way.
The donated materials will support daily learning, play and wellbeing at Baraa Primary School. A small effort while traveling can have a lasting impact in the classroom.

He is now studying his third year Community Development in Arusha, and we couldn’t be more proud of him.
