A TRIBUTE TO MY BROTHER AND COMRADE

Dearest Richard,

Your absence is profoundly felt, as the boxing community still relies on your invaluable contributions and presence. The need for your engagement remains critical as we navigate the challenges ahead.

Attending your wedding in Da Es Salaam, Tanzania, as the sole representative from the boxing administration was a profound honor that underscored the significance of this special occasion. This unique privilege not only deepened my appreciation for the event but also highlighted the strong bonds within our community.

You were a modest individual who actively participated in the boxing industry. You first accompanied me to Windhoek, Namibia, for the IBF Continental Africa Featherweight Title match between Egyptian Ibrahim "Butcher" Mostafa and Namibian Gottlieb Ndokosho.

Subsequently, you joined me in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, along with the Egyptian boxer Ahmed Said, for the IBF Title bout against Sammy Retta, where we were graciously hosted for an official lunch at the Egyptian Embassy.

You navigated the boxing realm with elegance, as it was both your passion and your sport.

Richard, you were an exceptional character and the profound impact you had on those around you will always be cherished and deeply missed. Your memory serves as a reminder of the lasting connections we forge in life.

In honoring a remarkable life, I express my heartfelt wishes for eternal peace, celebrating the vibrant spirit that will forever remain in my memories.
