We want to share a story that touched our hearts deeply ❤️

During our monthly food assistance visits, we met a widow who has been doing her best to care for her three grandchildren. Month after month, we supported her with food—but one visit changed everything.

When we visited her together with our donors from Austria, they were shocked by the living conditions. It was difficult to believe how she managed to survive there with the children.

All four of them—the grandmother and her three grandchildren of mixed gender—were sharing just one bed. Among the children is a young girl, almost 12 years old, growing up in such challenging circumstances.

In that moment, we realized that food support alone was not enough. Something more had to be done.

That’s when the idea to build her a safe and dignified home was born.
