We honor an idea that transcends time.
In 1919, the Ukrainian People's Republic and the West Ukrainian People's Republic, Eastern and Western Ukraine, chose unity, affirming the right to exist as one, free and sovereign Nation.

More than a century later, that same unity lives on in Ukraine's daily resistance against the russian aggresor.
It lives in soldiers and civilians, in the past reaching out to the present, in memory that turns into strength.

Unity is not just a historical act.
It is a choice renewed every day - against those who seek to divide, against those who attempt to erase a people's identity.
