On June 27-28, 2022, the Project has organized two-day seminar on the topic: "Peculiarities of VAT taxation of transactions carried out on the electricity market in EU countries".

German expert-practitioner in the field of VAT taxation - Mr. Markus Drost from the German Tax Administration (Dusseldorf) presented the experience of the EU and Germany to Ukrainian colleagues.

Among the participants there were the representatives of the Department of Tax Policy of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Department of Methodology and Taxation of Legal Entities of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, as well as to the State-owned Enterprise NAEK "Energoatom".

Ukrainian experts were interested in the discussion of VAT taxation of electricity, the place of its supply, the registration of enterprises on the electricity market, the assessment from the point of view of VAT in Germany and the EU. The gained knowledge will be used during the further implementation of the respective provisions of EU Directives and Regulations.
