Don’t leave your place

Ecc 10:4 ( KJV) If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.

The above scripture clearly shows how being calm when provoked can pacify anger. The preacher scans through in his wisdom and realizes that when a king or any ruler gets angry at you, please don’t change your mood or respond, “Don’t leave your place” or show a resisting spirit. No matter how you feel angry, don’t respond, it’s better to keep quiet. For in your keeping quiet you put to rest great offenses. Before you respond to anyone accusing you always remember not to leave your place.

Marriages are in a shambles because someone left his or her place or showed a resisting spirit. Many lose their jobs because of leaving their places. Others are in prison because they left their places, leaving your place means lack of one’s control over his or her emotions (lose their temper, answers without reasoning).

It doesn’t mean that you don’t have freedom to respond, but when someone is angry at you and you respond in anger, it might result in unnecessary exchange of words that might result in some consequences. When it comes to kings or bosses or elders the Bible advises us not to show a resisting spirit. It’s important to control your emotions no matter how you feel attacked.

Prayer: Father we thank you for your grace and wisdom that’s in your word. We pray for a calm spirit that we may pacify anger and offenses directed to us. In Jesus’ Name we have prayed AMEN.

He will finish what He started.

Phil 1:6 (NKJV) being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ

Rick Warren in his book “Purpose Driven Life” writes that “You are not an accident. Well that brings in a bigger discussion about life. If we are to expound on this, we realize, that our existence on earth irrespective the circumstances surrounding it, was initiated by God.

He knew you before you were formed in your mothers womb, he knew that you would have that skin color, those eyes and you would be where you are right now. You are His own project and He doesn’t leave any business undone. He who watches over your life never sleeps nor slumbers. There is no moment when He has ever taken His eyes off your life. You are His perfect delight.

You belong to Him and He is the one at work in your life. He made you and He knows how the script of your life will unfold to fulfill that perfect plan he has for your life. He began you, He modeled you and He will not leave you incomplete, he will finish that good work that He began in your life.

Your responsibility is to acknowledge that He is at work in you and you are His best project and He too faithful to abandon you. You are not forsaken, God has best interests in you. Whatever you are going through just know that it’s part of the process to perfection. He is the author, the originator and finisher of your faith and life.

Prayer
Father we thank you for you will finish what you started in our lives, you will not let your servants to see corruption. We trust in you, in Jesus’ Name, we have prayed. AMEN

The sickness is not unto death

_*John 11:4 (AMP) When Jesus received the message, He said, This sickness is not to end in death; but [on the contrary] it is to honor God and to promote His glory, that the Son of God may be glorified through (by) it.

This was a response that Jesus gave to his disciples after he was told that His friend Lazarus was sick. We yet see that Lazarus later passed on. But Jesus had already seen the end of all this that the sickness was not to end in death. Although Lazarus really died, Jesus’ word stood true. Although the devil wanted to nullify what Jesus had said by causing Lazarus to die, Jesus’ word stood true and on the fourth day Lazarus was raised back to life.

_Sometimes what we see is on the surface but the reality is clear to the Lord. The condition might look as if it’s to finish you off, but Jesus says that it’s not to kill you but to bring glory to the name of the Lord. That situation will not end in shame, it will surely bring glory to your name. It will not end in tears, it will end in praise. Everything you are going through is to bring glory to your Name. It might look like the end has surely come and the verdict already declared, but there is nothing that can delay the Lord’s timing._

Prayer
Thank you Lord Jesus for your word is a double aged sword and it’s true. We are grateful for your work in our lives. We are still knowing that whatever we are going through will not lead unto death but the glory of your name. Amen
