Volunteer Action Network
Our mission is to be a leading organization for women empowerment in Uganda enabling women and girls live a productive life with respect and divinity.
Every Girl Deserves the Chance to Learn, No Matter What
Education is one of the most powerful investments we can make, not just for individual girls but for entire communities. Yet, for too many girls around the world, something as basic as menstruation prevents them from attending school. Lack of access to sanitary pads and proper menstrual health education forces thousands of girls to stay home, miss classes, and ultimately drop out of school.
But together, we can change that.
We’re providing sanitary pads and menstrual health education to girls and boys—ensuring that every girl can attend school without interruption, and that every student has the knowledge to break the stigma around menstruation. We’re making sure no girl has to choose between her education and her period.
This Giving Season, help us empower more girls to stay in school, stay healthy, and achieve their dreams. Your donation, big or small, will provide:
• Sanitary pads for girls in need
• Menstrual health education for both girls and boys
• A future where no girl misses out on her right to learn
Donate today and help us make a difference!
Together, we can ensure that no girl has to drop out of school because of her period.

A small microloan of $50–$100 can transform a woman’s life and secure a better future for her family.
In Northern Uganda, where 68% of people live in poverty, many families survive on less than one meal a day. Women, who bear the greatest responsibility for feeding their families, often struggle to send their children to school or afford healthcare.
Through our microloan and business skills training program, we are changing that reality. We equip women with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to start and manage small businesses—empowering them to earn income, feed their families, and invest in their children’s education.
Women who once depended entirely on others now run thriving enterprises and make decisions that uplift their households and communities.
“Before joining the program, I couldn’t even afford a meal a day. Now I own a small grocery shop, my children are in school, and I feel proud to stand on my own,” says Margaret, one of our beneficiaries.
Thanks to your support, we are helping women build financial independence, restore dignity, and break the cycle of poverty.
