International Women’s Day Jinja 2026 – A Powerful Success!

We are proud to have successfully hosted the International Women’s Day Jinja 2026 celebration on under the theme with Women techmakers Jinja a full day dedicated to empowering, inspiring, and connecting women and girls in technology.

The event brought together incredible minds from young women and students to innovators, mentors, and community leaders all committed to challenging norms and creating opportunities in tech.
Throughout the day, we engaged in:

✨ Mentorship and knowledge sharing
✨ Skill-building conversations
✨ Networking and collaboration

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Women Techmakers Technovation Digital Woman Uganda for their valuable support, to tech hub for providing the venue, to our Speakers, Volunteers and attendees that made this event possible. 🤝

This was more than just a celebration it was a reminder that when women come together, we create impact, break barriers, and shape the future.

Welcome to March - Women’s History Month.
This month, we celebrate the women who dared, the women who built, the women who coded, the women who led.
At Queens Coding Initiative, we believe the future of Africa is digital and women must not just access it, but own it.
Here’s to bold ideas, brave voices, and building spaces where every girl knows she belongs in tech.

March is for HER.
And HER future is digital.

Queens Coding Initiative (QUCI) was honored to participate in the Multi-Stakeholder Workshop on Scalable Digital Innovations for , and organized by Digital Woman Uganda

The workshop brought together government, innovators, and community organizations to discuss how technology can improve access to information, safety, and wellbeing for young people, especially girls and young women.

At QUCI, we strongly believe that digital skills are not only for employment, but also for protection, confidence, and informed decision-making. Through our programs and ICT student clubs, we are committed to preparing young people to safely and responsibly use digital tools and platforms.

We are excited about the partnerships, insights, and opportunities that emerged from the discussions and we look forward to contributing to scalable digital solutions that impact our communities.

Together, we can build safer and healthier digital spaces for young people.
