Our Dissemination event has been held to share the outcomes of the different surveys A Rocha Uganda has been carrying out for the past months in the forest...
We have also shared the possible ways this data can be used to inform policy on a community, national and global level.
We also ran a concurrent campaign to conserve and restore West Bugwe Forest in Eastern Uganda.
The general public of Busia district, specifically Bulumbi and Busitema sub counties are now fully aware of the unique wildlife; butterfly, moths and plant species in West Bugwe and have been cautioned to conserve and protect them from extinction.
This event also emphasized their status as vulnerable, endangered, endemic or threatened not just in the forest but in Uganda and across the whole globe.
