Today, Kawempe Home Care proudly joins the global community in raising our hats and our voices for the millions of children who deserve compassionate, specialized palliative care.

According to the International Children's Palliative Care Network, over 21 million children worldwide could benefit from palliative care. Yet, 95% of them have limited or no access to these vital services. Of these, 8 million children urgently need more specialized support.

At 𝐊𝐚𝐰𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞, we believe every child deserves comfort, dignity, and hope especially those facing life-threatening illnesses like cancer. Through our 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥, we provide holistic palliative care to children living with cancer, offering not just medical support, but emotional healing, play, and a safe space to be children.

On this day, we wear our hats to honor their courage, advocate for equity in care, and reaffirm our commitment to being a beacon of hope in Uganda and beyond.💛

Every day, many children from far villages across the country travel to Kampala seeking for hope and treatment at the Uganda Cancer Institute, the only oncology center. Sadly, many come from poor and vulnerable families who cannot afford food, accommodation, and care during the long treatment journey.

At our 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥, we provide these brave young fighters and their caregivers a safe home filled with love, nutritious meals, and emotional support to help them stay strong and continue their long journey to recovery. 💛
