Tororo Cement Limited acquired two mining leases in 2003 and 2010 for limestone mining in Kosiroi, Tapac Sub-County, Moroto District. However, the Company never paid for surface rights for both leases. Now, the Company is in the process of acquiring 50 acres of land for a clinker but people are demanding for clearance of arrears first. All this came out during a visit organized by Resource Rights Africa (RRA) and HORIZONT3000 for Dr. Roswitha Kremser, Austrian Ambassador in Uganda Dreikönigsaktion der Katholischen JungscharAustrian Development Agency

Strategic planning is always a critical moment in the life of an organization. RRA is happy to have come to the end of the Dream and Design Phase through the Outcome Mapping Approach as opposed to the usual Logical Framework Approach.
