On 21st March for World Poetry Day, the Emboozi Teba Nkade Poetry Scholarship was officially launched . Students, displaced persons and poets living with impairments all gathered to witness and it reminded us of something vital.
Poetry isn’t just creativity. It’s inclusion and it gives all of us the language to tell our own stories. 🗣️📖

And with the Emboozi Teba Nkade Poetry Scholarship which is a scholarship program under Foundation and Mastercard Foundation delivered by Kitara Nation and Steadman Global , 1000 poets in Uganda will gain the knowledge ,tools and ability to use poetry as a road to economic empowerment .

Various panel discussions from the main beneficiaries of the scholarship program were had and they all seemed to agree that passion for poetry is only step one.

None of this would have been possible without our wonderful community that showed up to support .
