Condoms are a form of barrier contraception that are highly effective at preventing both pregnancy and the spread of s*xually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV. There are two main types: male condoms and female (or internal) condoms.

Male Condom Use

Male condoms are worn on the erect p***s. Proper use is essential for their effectiveness. Here are the steps:

Check the Expiration Date: Always check the condom wrapper for the expiration date and for any signs of damage (e.g., tears or a lack of an air bubble when squeezed).

Open Carefully: Tear the wrapper open with your fingers. Do not use your teeth or scissors, as this can tear the condom.

Determine the Direction: Make sure the condom is right-side out. The rim should be on the outside, ready to unroll easily, resembling a small hat.

Pinch and Place: Pinch the tip of the condom to squeeze out any air. This prevents air bubbles that can cause the condom to break and leaves space for semen. Place the pinched tip on the head of the erect p***s.

Unroll Completely: While holding the tip, unroll the condom all the way down to the base of the p***s. If you are uncircumcised, pull back your fo****in before unrolling.

Add Lubricant: While most condoms are pre-lubricated, using extra water-based or silicone-based lubricant can make s*x more comfortable and reduce the risk of the condom breaking. Never use oil-based lubricants (like petroleum jelly or lotions) with latex condoms, as they can weaken the material and cause it to tear.

After S*x: Immediately after ej*******on and while the p***s is still erect, hold the rim of the condom against the base of the p***s and withdraw from your partner.

Remove and Dispose: Carefully pull the condom off, away from your partner's body, and wrap it in a tissue before throwing it in the trash. Never flush condoms down the toilet, as they can clog plumbing.
