Our beekeeping journey isn't just about empowering women, t's about reshaping lives and communities. Women in Mukono Kabembe who have embraced beekeeping are now able to do things that once felt like distant dreams. With their newfound income, many of these women can now pay school fees for their children. The sight of children heading to school with confidence and hope is one of the sweetest rewards of this venture. Mothers share stories of how beekeeping has unlocked opportunities for their families, opening doors that once seemed firmly shut. What's even more heartwarming is the incredible support these women are receiving from their male counterparts. Husbands, brothers, and community members are stepping up, not just as cheerleaders but as active participants. Whether it's helping to build hives, manage sales, or cheer on the women at local markets, men are joining in to champion the change. Together, we're creating a community that thrives- where women lead the way, families flourish, and everyone learns to appreciate the buzz of a brighter future.
During the implementation of this project, Dharmic Uganda has worked closely with schools in Kabembe community especially the Lutheran Church founded school called Zion Primary school. Together, we have ensured that project beneficiaries not only improve their live hoods but also enroll and keep their children in school. We are more than grateful for the tremendous support.
