A HAND WASH is a community social enterprise that resulted from the ideology of Shalot Tushabe the President of CLEAR WAVE a small enterprise that makes liquid soap . Shalot is a innovator who started the idea of making quality soap and shampoo ! Shalot who was inspired by her best Liddy Laird a Scottish woman to be the first person to introduce hand washing facilities at Uphill Junior School in Uganda. Shalot believes that she could train more teachers and students to produce hand washing soap for their schools. Shalot found out that only 0.05% of Ugandan rural children access hand washing facilities ! millions of Ugandan rural school children do not wash their hands after visiting latrines! Many children in Uganda who pack lunch do eat with dirty hands and no one cares. Shalot believes that a HAND WASH network will be the solution.
