The problem in youth empowerment is often fragmentation between donors, training institutions, and employers. This leads to a crisis of sustainability when a project ends. CECI’s solution is to reinforce relationships between training providers and local businesses, creating a sustainable bridge for future cohorts. This opportunity for collaboration allows us to share lessons and data, making every project iteration more effective than the last.

A recurring lesson from our recent SUSTAINED project reflection meeting is the power of female leadership. The problem of under-representation is being challenged by women mentors in Zone 3 and Zone 4 who are taking the lead in community mobilization and reporting.
