JOMUF Transforming Lives Initiative convened with its members to review goals, assess achievements made so far, identify pending targets, and re-evaluate individual roles to strengthen our collective impact. Together, we continue working towards meaningful change in our communities.

Today, on the occasion of the International Day of Families, JOMUF Transforming Lives Initiative celebrates the importance of love, unity, care, and togetherness in all forms of family and community.

Families are not only defined by blood relations, but also by the people who stand with us in difficult moments, support our growth, protect our dignity, and remind us that we belong. For many people, chosen families, friendships, shelters, and supportive communities have become a source of hope, healing, and strength.

May we continue building communities where every person feels valued, supported, respected, and loved.

At JOMUF, we recognise that press freedom goes beyond publishing. It is about human rights documentation, truth, and whose stories are told, how they are represented, and who is left unheard.

The press does not merely report reality—it helps define it. Through it, unheard voices, silenced cries, and untold pain are brought into public consciousness and collective memory.

We acknowledge and appreciate press practitioners who carry out their work with integrity. In doing so, they must recognise that their platforms carry power—they can either protect and uphold human dignity, freedom of expression, and the right to information, or contribute to their erosion through silence, distortion, and bias.

JOMUF Transforming Lives Initiative remains committed to amplifying the voices of marginalized persons—voices that are often unheard—and advocating for media that informs, protects, and respects the dignity of all.

This International Workers' Day, JOMUF honours every form of labour — from everyday activities to essential services; visible and invisible, formal and informal, recognised and often overlooked. Labour is defined by contribution, resilience, and impact.

We honour the caregivers holding families and communities together without rest.
We honour the creative minds turning pain into expression.
We honour the advocates who speak when systems fall silent.

To every person, in every space, doing every form of work:
your effort is valid, your contribution is powerful, and your existence is part of global development.

The JOMUF team had an engaging and insightful workshop with HURIDOCS, strengthening our capacity to document human rights violations through effective data collection, management, and system integration.

From hands-on practical sessions to in-depth discussions on database sustainability and post-project support, this experience has equipped us with the tools to enhance evidence-based advocacy for marginalized and vulnerable communities.

This is more than capacity building—it is a step toward strengthening accountability, visibility, and justice for the communities we serve.
