When I had just started Hostalite around 2010, I got one of my first international clients from Kigali through email marketing.

They sent me the website content by email, and I designed their website on my computer here in Kampala. We agreed that I would travel to Kigali, present the website, and then get paid.

I copied the entire website onto a flash disk, boarded a bus to Kigali, and travelled almost the whole night.

I recall I had borrowed part of the transport money for the trip because I was confident I would be paid after presenting the work.

When I reached the client’s office, I plugged in the flash disk.

The flash disk was corrupted.

The website could not open 😆 😬 ..
I came back with no money and debts.....
I never gave up.
There would be No Hostalite today if that setback had made me believe that there was no future.
