The Center has acquired a melt spinner, the result of a collaboration with DTRA-JSTO and the North Carolina State University Nonwovens Institute. Melt spinning is a process used to create non-knit, non-woven fibers, such as filters for N95 masks. It will be used by researchers and engineers to better understand the materials used in the process and their properties.

DEVCOM CBC hosted U.S. Army Futures and Concepts Command CG Lieutenant General Michael McCurry and U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command CG Brigadier General Robert Born on March 19.
