Together as His people let us take refuge in the infinite mercy of God, our heavenly Father, seeking His grace for the sake of Christ, and saying: God, be merciful to me, a sinner.

Prayer of Thanksgiving
P Blessed are You, O Lord our God, king of all creation, for You have had mercy on us and given Your only-begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

In Your righteous judgment You condemned the sin of Adam and Eve, who ate the forbidden fruit, and You justly barred them and all their children from the tree of life. Yet, in Your great mercy, You promised salvation by a second Adam, Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, and made His cross a life-giving tree for all who trust in Him.

We give You thanks for the redemption You have prepared for us through Jesus Christ. Grant us Your Holy Spirit that we may faithfully eat and drink of the fruits of His cross and receive the blessings of forgiveness, life, and salvation that come to us in His body and blood.

L: Almighty God, because You have committed to Your people the ministry of intercession, hear us as we pray for others, and grant that our hearts may be filled with peace and love. For Your holy Church here and throughout the world, that You would bestow on the ministers of Your Word and Sacraments the abundance of Your grace and truth and confirm Your people in the faith of the Gospel, that Christ may be exalted as head over all

L: For Your people here and everywhere, that You would inspire them with love for Your house, zeal in Your service, and joy in the advancement of Your kingdom,
C: We beg You to hear us, good Lord.

L: For Your ministers, missionaries and teachers of Your Word. That Your Name and saving grace may be proclaimed to all the world.

L: For the nations, that You would breathe on them the spirit of peace and understanding; and for those in authority, that You would inspire in them the desire for peace and love of concord.

L: For those who serve You by protecting us. We pray for the police and firemen, for EMTs and all first responders. We pray for our servicemen and women That You keep them safe in the duties and guide them by Your powerful hand to accomplish their missions.

L: For all in sickness and distress, that You would give strength to the weary, relief to the suffering and comfort to the dying.
C: We beg You to hear us, good Lord.

L For all who are celebrating birthdays or anniversaries, that the Lord would continue to bless them on their life’s journey.
C We beg You to hear us, good Lord.

L: For all Your servants who have departed this life in Your faith and fear we give You hearty thanks, and we pray You to give us grace to follow them as they followed Christ. Bring us, with them, to those things which eye has not seen nor ear heard, through Jesus Christ, Your son, our Lord.
