I caught these pictures when Nicole’s kids brought her coffee earlier this month. Both were wearing mental health awareness sweatshirts, and it made me smile.
So much has changed. Years ago, mental health wasn’t talked about the way it is today. Mental health impacts brain health. So take care of yours.
It’s encouraging to see stigma shrinking and the next generation helping lead the way.
Your mind matters.
Happy Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
We also want to recognize the incredible work of the Honor Flight program, an organization dedicated to transporting veterans to Washington, D.C. so they can visit the memorials built in honor of their service and sacrifices.
This cause is especially meaningful to us at Minds Matter PLLC. Bethany Hanson had the privilege of going with her dad Floyd Hansmeier on his Honor Flight. My late grandpa Jesse Peckham traveled with other WWII veterans on an Honor Flight.
Watching veterans receive the gratitude and honor they deserve is something that leaves a lasting impact…not only on them, but on the families who love them and on everyone who witnesses it.
Today we remember those who never came home, honor those who served, and express deep appreciation for organizations that ensure service and sacrifice are never forgotten.

Growing up on a farm outside of Bristol taught me many things, including hard work, hope and how people show up for each other in small town communities. In my career, I’ve seen firsthand how dementia impacts this rural way of life.
If we want small towns to thrive, we need to find ways to keep brain health services close to home. Too often, I see families drive 3 hours for specialty care, only to be told there’s nothing they can do except “manage the decline.”
I refuse to believe that should be the standard for rural South Dakota.
That is why I opened Minds Matter PLLC.
We now know that 40% of dementia is preventable, but only if people know this help is available close to home. I’m great at the therapy side, but I need help getting the word out.
Winning the Northern Edge Impact Project would be a game-changer. The marketing support would let me reach the families who are quietly scared, the women navigating brain fog from menopause, the people recovering from concussions and strokes and not sure why their brain “just isn’t normal.”
Here is what I am fighting for:
-Brain health care that stays in rural communities.
-Early screenings so we can prevent dementia.
-Education on how menopause, concussion, illness affect your brain and what you can do to change the course.
-Finding more skilled therapists with a passion for changing lives.
If this resonates with you…if you have ever watched someone you love struggle or you believe rural South Dakota deserves better, please LIKE and SHARE this post. I appreciate it — Tiffany.

Thanks everybody for helping Minds Matter PLLC into the final three!
There were so many great businesses to choose from … check them out and support local ❤️!
Bailey Meyer thanks for helping highlight all of these small businesses 😊 ❤️!
🚨 THE TOP THREE FINALISTS HAVE BEEN SELECTED 🚨
Honestly… we don’t even know where to begin other than saying thank you.
The amount of support behind the Northern Edge Impact Project has been incredible to watch. Seeing communities rally behind small businesses, reading the stories, hearing the impact these businesses have on people’s lives — it’s been emotional, inspiring, and a really powerful reminder of how special small-town communities are.
We know not every business could move forward, but we truly hope every single nominated business realizes how much people value and appreciate what they’re doing. The comments, shares, votes, and stories spoke volumes. South Dakota is full of some pretty amazing people doing amazing things. ❤️
Congratulations to our Top 3 Finalists:
• AdiroStyle
• Kate's House of Hounds, LLC.
• Minds Matter PLLC
Over the next 48 hours, we’ll be asking each finalist to share more about how they would use the marketing support, what goals they have, and what kind of impact this opportunity could have on both their business and their community.
Then we’ll open ONE FINAL round of voting to select the winner of the NEM Project.
And to everyone who supported one of the other businesses, keep showing up. Keep supporting. Keep cheering these businesses on too. At the end of the day, this project was always about building each other up and supporting small businesses across our communities.
No matter who takes home the final win, the amount of community support shown throughout this project has already been something really special to witness.
