πŸ‘‰This weeks Community Partner Spotlight goes out to the entire CCAP Pacific County team!

We are grateful for the partnership and support CCAP continues to provide throughout Pacific County. Their team consistently connects individuals to Destination Hope and Recovery and works alongside our staff to help support community members navigating difficult situations.

We love running into them out in the community and seeing them at local events. They are familiar faces that continue to show up, stay involved, and be part of the work happening across Pacific County.

Our staff especially want to shout out Marshall Disney, Michelle Lindgren, Glenn York, Stacy Townsend, and Mckenzie Lorton. We know there are many more people who make up the CCAP Pacific County team, and we appreciate all of you and the work you put into supporting the community.

Honorable mention to Stevie Johnson for leading the ship and helping guide a team that continues to show up and be part of the work happening across Pacific County.

Partnerships like these matter. When organizations stay connected, communicate, and continue working toward the same goal of supporting the community, it creates stronger networks of care for the people who need it most.

We are thankful for the continued collaboration and appreciate all you do!

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Marissa Santos 🌟

πŸ’™ Marissa Santos serves as an FCS/Choice Case Manager and at Destination Hope and Recovery. In just six months with DHR, she has already made a big impact by helping individuals navigate some of the most difficult moments in their lives with compassion, understanding, and hope.

🀝 What inspired Marissa to join DHR was the opportunity to support people who are struggling and walk alongside them through challenging times. Her own lived experiences with homelessness and addiction allow her to connect deeply with unhoused clients and individuals battling addiction. She brings empathy, authenticity, and trust into every interaction, creating a safe space for clients to feel seen and supported.

✨ The most rewarding part of Marissa’s work is helping clients recognize their worth and importance. She believes her role makes a difference because she reminds people they belong and that hope is always possible, even during the hardest seasons of life.

🏑 One client experience that continues to stay with Marissa involved building trust with a woman who was initially very difficult to reach. Through patience, consistency, and encouragement, Marissa was able to help her feel supported and hopeful enough to secure stable housing. Moments like these remind her why this work matters so deeply.

🌱 Marissa shares this message with those currently working toward recovery: β€œYour past does not define you; your resilience does. What matters is how you rise after every fall.”

🌊 Outside of work, Marissa enjoys walks on the beach, hiking, and spending time with family on outings and adventures together. She also shares a fun fact that many people may not know about her, she completed one year of Taekwondo while in high school.

πŸ“– A verse that guides Marissa through both life and work is Romans 8:18 (NIV): β€œI consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” She believes this scripture is a reminder that hardships are temporary and that healing, transformation, and redemption are always possible.

We are grateful to have you at DHR Marissa! Thank you for all that you do!!!
