Currently seeking one full-time or two part-time veterinary technicians for our busy mixed animal, 2 doctor practice located in Abernathy, TX.
We are looking to hire a veterinary technician with the ability to assist in multiple areas including assisting the Veterinarian and other staff members and handling animals as needed.
Applicants MUST be able to perform heavy lifting and preferably have experience with both livestock and small animals. We are a fast-paced practice and need someone with great work ethic who can work with a team.

Pay based on experience with the opportunity for increases.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet clients, obtain histories, weigh animals, and check them in for appointments.
- Assisting with exams and surgery and clean up after, and much more.
- Recognize urgent or emergency medical needs based on symptoms and promptly notify medical staff.
- Provide the veterinarian with accurate client and patient information.
- Perform opening and closing duties daily.
- Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and other required medical materials
- Assist with feeding, watering, and walking animals each morning and evening, and some weekends.
- Maintain clean examination rooms, treatment areas, and overall hospital conditions including: surgery, lab, kennel, office, and front reception areas. This entails, but is not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing.
Clinic Hours:
Monday: 8:30AM – 5PM
Tuesday: 8:30AM – 5PM
Wednesday: 8:30AM – 12PM
Thursday: 8:30AM – 5PM
Friday: 8:30AM – 5PM
Saturday: TBD
