Instructor Spotlight: (Girls' Softball Hitting)
Jason Delp is in his fifth year as an Assistant Softball Coach at Emory & Henry College. Delp serves as the team's primary hitting coach and assists in all phases of the E&H softball program.

In 2021, Delp helped the team to its’ highest winning percentage in program history (.763), highest ranking in the NFCA top 25 poll (reaching as high as 9th on two occasions), and deepest postseason run in the NCAA Tournament (T-9). Delp’s offense led the charge by averaging over 5 runs per game and boasting an impressive .305 batting average as well putting up league bests in home runs (31) and extra base hits per game (3.08).

Prior to coming to Emory & Henry, Delp spent 18 years coaching softball at the high school level, including the final 16 seasons as the Head Softball Coach at Abingdon High School. While leading the Falcons, Delp created a strong tradition of winning, resulting in a pair of appearances in the VHSL State Championship game. He has seen a number of his players move on to the next level and play softball collegiately, including several at Emory & Henry.
