Upon the Circle
Do you really believe what the Bible says? Upon the Circle's ministry is committed to equipping and encouraging believers to take God at His Word.
Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us. (Psalm 123:1-2)

After the success of the first Deadpool movie, fans were admittedly quite concerned when they learned of Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox in October for 54.2 billion dollars. Though Deadpool was a creation of the “little g” god-worshipping folks at Marvel, he along with the other X-Men and Fantastic Four had remained in the grips of 21st Century Fox. Called an “anti-hero”, the lukewarm Deadpool is described as “not particularly a hero but also not a villain” - much like Grapenuts, I presume.
Would the same studio that released family favourites like Coco and Cars, and The Incredibles and The Aristocats, and of course, Frozen and Tangled, and the Little Mermaid and Big Hero6.. conform the foul-mouthed licentious Deadpool to a more kindler gentler kinda sequel.? Well, would a fountain send forth at the same place both bitter and sweet? Of course not.
For the past 80 years, Disney has been infiltrating our minds with fantasy worlds and magic kingdoms filled with divination, familiar spirits, witchcraft, wizards, and necromancers. Their filmography reads like a commentary on Deuteronomy 18 and their list of characters is fit for a king... King Jeroboam, perhaps. In 2017, Disney and their content creators crept in unawares, introducing LGBT storylines and references into their children’s programming on their television networks (Good Luck Charlie, Doc McStuffins, Star Vs the Forces of Evil, And Mack) and made it official by coming out of the closet with their live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast that same year.
Why not add a foul-mouthed, disfigured and deeply disturbed mercenary and assassin with the superhuman ability of an accelerated healing factor and physical prowess into their line up.
Marvel’s “Merc with a mouth” need not worry. Disney’s CEO Bob Iger states:
"It [Deadpool] clearly has been and will be Marvel branded. But we think there might be an opportunity for a Marvel-R brand for something like Deadpool. As long as we let the audiences know what's coming, we think we can manage that fine."
An opportunity? Casting the glamorization of fornication, filthy communication, and graphic violence in a positive light is not an opportunity… it is evil.
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)
Deadpool 2 hits theatres loaded with lots of graphic violence and gore, fornication, nudity, foul humour laced with double entendres, making light of fornication, drug use - nothing is sacred … and lots and lots of filthy communication. - 187 instances in 119 minutes. - That's an average of 1.6 uses every minute.
DO you really believe what the Bible says?
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” (Ephesians 4:29)
“A clean tongue should be characteristic of a believer. Vile language is the language of the unregenerate. When you get saved, your language should improve in character._ - Butler
In Ephesians 5:3-4, the Bible says
“But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.” -
Foul language, obscene humour, and filthy joking should not be named [once] among true believers. This filthy and foul behaviour should not be tolerated and “is incompatible with holiness”
Ephesians 5 continues in verses 5-6
“For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.”
In Verse 7, we are commanded:
“Be not ye therefore partakers with them.”
In Colossians 3:8, we again are commanded:
“But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.” -
As JM Buckley noted way back in 1875 (yes, 1875) regarding professing Christians attending “Theatrical performances” loaded with licentiousness and lewd content.
“It cannot be proper to hear or see voluntarily, for the sake of pleasure, what it would be improper to say or do. If the doing of sinful things is sinful, " to have pleasure in them that do them " must be sinful also, for the same state of mind is implied in both cases. If there are in plays profane expressions, or indecent allusions, or lascivious looks, attitudes, and gestures, it cannot be right to derive amusement from the spectacle. '
Note Buckley’s use of Romans 1:32
“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, [but have pleasure in them that do them.”]
Not only are we to avoid the use of foul and filthy language, but we are to avoid… err… Put away.. Far away from us those that use such language.
“Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.”
(Proverbs 4:24)
Please don’t be lulled into thinking that it is okay to look at such vile and wicked things as long as you do not practice them.
No wicked thing should be set before your eyes (Psa 101:3), and no wicked thought should enter your heart or mind (Mat. 5:28; II Cor. 10:5).
“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”
(1 Corinthians 15:33)
Holiness matters: Peter says.
“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:15–16)
Holy mean set apart, - In 2 Corinthians 6:17 - the Bible says,
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,”
And in 2 Corinthians 7:1
“… dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Eugene Peterson, the architect behind "The Message" translation (if you would like to call it that), has come out in support of homosexuality.
In a recent interview with Jonathan Merritt of Religion News Service, Peterson made the following statement:
"I wouldn't have said this 20 years ago, but now I know a lot of people who are gay and le***an, and they seem to have as good a spiritual life as I do."
He went on to say that "I think that kind of debate about le***ans and g**s might be over".
If Mr. Peterson truly believed in the authority of Scripture he would realize that the debate is over. What God has proclaimed to be sin, is sin and that is that (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 1:26-28).
