The key concept is simple:
PRESSURE + OXYGEN → PHYSIOLOGIC RESPONSE
HBOT isn’t a cure-all, and the evidence varies significantly depending on the condition. But for established indications, hyperbaric medicine uses pressure and oxygen to create physiological changes that can support healing.

How does mHBOT support healing? 🫁
Inside a hyperbaric chamber, increased atmospheric pressure allows the body to carry substantially more dissolved oxygen in the plasma.
That hyperoxic environment can influence several important physiologic processes:
🩸 Increased tissue oxygen availability
🔥 Modulation of inflammatory pathways
💧 Vasoconstriction that can help reduce certain types of edema
🌱 Angiogenesis and vascular signaling
🔬 Cellular processes involved in tissue repair
🛡️ Immune and antimicrobial mechanisms in certain clinical situations
mHBOT isn’t a cure-all, and the strength of evidence varies considerably depending on the condition.
The interesting part is the physiology: pressure changes how oxygen is transported and delivered—and that can change the environment in which healing occurs.
Ask:
Is it FDA-approved?
Is the evidence from humans?
What condition was actually studied?
What dose/protocol was used?
Was the combination itself studied?
Emerging science can be exciting without turning it into a promise.

Education • Safety • Evidence
Educational information only. Not medical advice. Treatment decisions should be made with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
HBOT is more than simply “breathing extra oxygen.” By combining increased atmospheric pressure with oxygen, hyperbaric therapy changes how oxygen is carried and dissolved in the body and can influence several physiological processes involved in healing and recovery.
The key is understanding that the science, treatment protocol, and clinical indication matter.
