Here’s a deck and screen porch we wrapped up recently in Alpharetta, along with a few before photos. It features Trex Select decking in Whiskey Barrel with aluminum TimberTech Impression Express railing.

Behind the scenes, this one had a few challenges. We used an engineer for both the deck and the roof to work through some structural issues. The home’s existing cantilevers wouldn’t carry the added load of the deck and roof, and we also had to work around some footing conflicts. Nothing insurmountable, just required some extra planning and coordination.

In the end, everything came together nicely and the homeowner is very happy with the result.

Here is a simple design community pavilion built for a builder customer. We utilized Simpson Strong-Tie cast in place post bases that provide moment resistance and eliminate the need for additional lateral bracing.

We have had lots of things to commemorate since starting back in 1994 and lots of great times. Here’s a glimpse into a moment 20 years ago with Steve, Craig, and Barbie. For fun, they recreated the photo this week, 20 years later!
