NATIONAL POLICE WEEK 2026: HONORING AND REMEMBERING OUR FALLEN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS

Again, this year communities across the United States will honor and remember those law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the family members, friends and fellow officers they left behind.

This year, the names of 363 officers killed in the line of duty are being added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC. These 363 officers include 109 officers who were killed during 2025, plus 254 officers who died in previous years, but whose stories of sacrifice had been lost to history until now.

We honor those who have served, those who serve today, and those who will serve tomorrow. In solemn memory of Officer James Ferrall, EOW: 07/28/1937.

📢 Did you hear the sirens today?

The first test of our new outdoor warning siren system was today. Early reports indicate our mission to increase coverage was successful, but we always value community awareness.

Weekly Testing Reminder: Expect to hear these tests every Wednesday between 11 AM and Noon (unless there is a risk of actual severe weather).

A Note on Safety: If you didn't hear the siren while inside your house, that is normal. To ensure you are alerted while indoors, please utilize wireless phone alerts, a NOAA weather radio, or tune into local broadcasters when severe weather is likely.
