April 15 has a way of turning our attention to finances and the practical side of life. And it holds the perfect opportunity as parents to teach our kids about money.

Today, let's invite our kids into conversations we don't always think to have... about stewardship, contentment, generosity, and trusting God to provide.

These kinds of conversations can shape how they see money for the rest of their lives. Not just as something to manage, but as a way to show our love and trust in the God who's the Source of it all.

If you're not sure where to begin, this podcast conversation is the perfect place to start!

Sometimes, it feels like we’re carrying the weight of the whole world. Or we’re pounding on doors that simply won’t open and let us through. Sometimes we look at our circumstances and want to shake our fist, wondering how we ended up so far from where we want to be. It’s at those moments that, instead of looking around us, we need to look inside.

Are we hauling burdens we were never meant to carry? Have we been writing our own agenda for our life? Can we accept the things that give us pain as the very things that might transform who we are? Today, let’s pray for a change of heart. Let’s surrender to the One who wants to lead, help, and love us in every detail.

Lord, I can’t deny that I want my own way. So often I’m confident I know what’s best for my life. When I face pain or disappointment, it feels confusing, wrong, and unfair. I mark out a path that I’m sure will lead to blessing, forgetting that the true way to joy is to follow in the footsteps of your Son.

Forgive me, Lord, for the times I choose my will over yours. Empower me by your Spirit to love the unlovable. To generously give out of what I’ve received. To bring dignity to those who feel devalued or unseen. To listen, to own my mistakes, and to put others first with a humble heart.

Knock the chip off my shoulder so I can release resentment and forgive. Restore my trust that you use every struggle I suffer to reveal your power, grow me up, and make me strong. May I love you with a holy fear that surrenders to you as my good Father and Lord of my life. You are the One who floods me with joy and makes me whole.

Amen.

It’s often not the big, sweeping gestures that stay with us… it’s the simple moments that show how much they truly care.

The way they noticed something you didn’t say out loud, or help they offered without being asked, or even the patience they gave in a moment that could have gone differently.

Marriage is built in these small, ordinary moments... where love shows up in steady, everyday ways.

This week, what is something your spouse did that meant a lot to you?

As Easter moves to a memory this year, it's the gift of hope that carries on.

Hope in Jesus. Hope for the future. Hope in the resurrection power that changes everything.

In what situation are you placing your hope in God to bring change, healing, or provision today?
