✨ Adopt Me — A Tiny Holiday Miracle Waiting for Her Home 🐾❤️
This little sweetheart showed up absolutely terrified, running through my yard looking for anywhere safe to hide.
My brother was able to catch her before she got hurt, and she’s been with me ever since — slowly realizing she’s finally safe.
We’ve searched for an owner, posted her everywhere, and checked for a microchip… but no one has come forward.
The vet estimates she’s about a year old — still basically a baby.
Right now she’s still scared of the world, but she’s opening up more each day. She wants to trust. She wants to be loved. She just needs a patient, gentle person who can show her that life doesn’t have to be so frightening.
This little girl deserves:
💛 A soft bed
💛 A slow, safe introduction to life
💛 A calm home
💛 Someone who will help her bloom

Meet Athena — a 2-year-old German Shepherd × Belgian Malinois mix (spayed, born July 14th).
She’s smart, high-drive, and full of love and potential.
Athena was returned to me, and I’ve been working with her — but she needs more time and consistency than I can give her long-term. She is a good dog who simply needs the right handler.
💥 Athena is reactive — this is important to be upfront about.
She’s working through it, she’s improving, and she responds well to clear direction. But she does need someone experienced who will continue consistent training and give her structure every day.
Because of one past startle situation, she will not be placed in a home with small children. Older teens and adults only.

Athena came into the world full of potential—sharp, sensitive, and driven. Like so many working-breed mixes, she needed a very specific kind of structure to feel safe and thrive.
But sometimes, even with the best intentions, life doesn’t go according to plan.
Athena’s early environment didn’t match her needs, and over time, that mismatch turned into fear, frustration, and confusion. She developed reactive behaviors—rooted not in aggression, but in anxiety and unmet needs.
Now, she’s in a place built for her. A place that understands her working brain, her loyal heart, and her learning style. She’s building trust, finding calm, and becoming who she was always meant to be.
This is not a story of failure. It’s a story of adjustment, of growth, of grace—for her and everyone who’s been part of her life.
