Do you understand what you voted for?
Today, look what happened in Tennessee. Black districts are being erased in real time. Voting rights are being rolled back in real time. States are following suit after what happened in Louisiana, and people are still sitting around acting like this is normal.
This is our life, y’all. This is our life.
This is not entertainment. This is not social media debate. This is not something we can afford to ignore while generations of civil rights work are being dismantled right in front of us.
“The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.” — Proverbs 29:7 NIV
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.” — Proverbs 31:8 NIV
Ain’t no way you can be in La La Land acting like nothing is happening right now. There’s no way you can be in agreement with this.
And please stop saying, “I’m not called to be political.” Silence is agreement. There were generations of Black people who fought too hard, marched too hard, prayed too hard, and sacrificed too much for us to sit quiet while rights are being stripped away.
“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed.” — Isaiah 1:17 NIV
I’m trying my hardest not to crash out, I promise you, because some of y’all truly do not understand the seriousness of what is happening right now.
I come from people who stood up against racism, segregation, and injustice, and I will continue to stand up for my people and my community.
Life Insurance in My Sleep
Prophetic dreams have saved my life.
I mean that the way a soldier means it when he tells you about the bullet that missed.
Seven years ago, God gave me dreams I couldn't decode. Names I didn't recognize. Faces I had never seen. Rooms I had never walked into. I wrote them down because that's what you do when the Holy Spirit speaks, even when you don't understand the language yet.
Seven years later, the rooms appeared. The faces walked in. The names showed up on documents, on caller IDs, on the lips of people I had not yet met. What was once a mystery became a map.
That is what prophetic dreams are. Life insurance.
"For God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, then he opens the ears of men and seals their instruction."
— Job 33:14-16
Notice the word seals. God does not always hand you the meaning. Sometimes He hands you the envelope and tells you to carry it until the day arrives.
This is the part most people miss.
We have been taught to demand interpretation the moment we wake up. We pray, post the dream in group chats. We text the prophet. We google the symbols. And when meaning does not arrive within forty-eight hours, we decide the dream was nothing. We dismiss what God deposited.
But some dreams are not given for foresight. They are given for hindsight.
They are given so that on the day the situation arrives, you recognize it. You hear the Holy Spirit whisper, I told you about this. And in that instant, you know which path to refuse, which door to close, which voice is lying.
That is not delayed revelation. That is precise revelation.
"Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time."
— Habakkuk 2:2-3
The vision waits. So should we.
I can read my dream code now. The numbers. The colors. The recurring rooms, the recurring strangers. What used to feel like static now reads like sentences. Not because I got smarter. Because I stayed faithful. I kept writing. I kept asking. I kept trusting that the God who spoke would also teach me His grammar.
Intimacy with the Holy Spirit is the only dream dictionary that matters.
So hear me: if you had a dream you do not understand, do not dismiss it. Do not rush it to a stranger for interpretation. Do not force a meaning the Spirit has not revealed.
Write it down. Date it. Close the journal. Let it sit.
God will open it on the day you need it open. On time.
It could have been me. It would have been me. If it had not been for the blood, and for the dreams He sent ahead of the danger.
More to share soon.

You’ve been doing the work…
serving your community, showing up, building something that matters.
But funding still feels like a guessing game.
Applying to grants.
Waiting.
Hearing nothing back.
You’re not alone—and it’s not because your mission isn’t strong.
Most organizations were never taught:
where the funding actually is
how to position themselves
how to get in the right rooms
That’s why we created Fundable Chicago.

Funding is available at the city, state, and county level, but far too often grassroots and faith led organizations are the last to know. I decided to do something about that.
On May 14, 2026, we will host Fundable Chicago 2026, a full-day initiative in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Faith Engagement, designed to help organizations gain access to funding, opportunities, and the relationships needed to grow.
This is for organizations that want to get in the room, learn where the money is, understand what is required, and connect with people who can help them move forward. If you have been feeling like your organization has the heart, the impact, and the vision but needs more visibility and access, this is for you.
From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, we will host one on one appointments with consultants, giving organizations the opportunity to talk through their work, ask important questions, and receive direct guidance. Open spots will be available for those who want deeper, hands-on support.
The main event will take place from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, bringing together nonprofit leaders, faith based organizations, funders, and partners for an evening focused on access, strategy, and connection.
The Mayor of Chicago is adamant about organizations gaining greater access, and we are honored to partner in this work. For the last seven years, we have been doing this online, helping organizations learn, grow, and become more fundable. Now, we are bringing this work to the ground locally, beginning with our first launch city, Chicago.
If you know your organization is called to do more and you need access, tools, and the right room, we want you there.
This is a how to event to make sure that you are fundable.

For my birthday, I’m making a simple ask, and yes I’m laughing but I’m serious 😄
If you’re connected to a corporation, I would truly appreciate a warm introduction to your corporate philanthropy or corporate sponsorship-partnership team.
Listen, if we can’t give money, we can give introductions. And in this economy 😬
We do a lot of impactful work in the community, especially right now in Chicago and Dallas, and I’m actively building with partners in both cities. We also have a global reach, but these are key markets we’re focused on in this season.
I would truly value a warm introduction because it’s clear to me that this is how doors really open.
I appreciate those of you who are willing to make those connections for me. It means more than you know.
