AT&T has selected Plano as the future home of its global headquarters, unveiling plans for a new 54-acre campus at 5400 Legacy Drive in the heart of the Legacy District.

The move brings together major administrative operations and underscores the company’s long-term commitment to North Texas. The site, originally developed in 1985 as Ross Perot’s Electronic Data Systems headquarters, has deep corporate roots and is now poised for a new chapter as part of Plano’s evolving Texas Research Quarter—a planned life sciences and innovation district.

Once complete, the campus will serve as AT&T’s central headquarters, reinforcing Plano’s position as one of the region’s most influential corporate and employment centers and further shaping the future of large-scale development along the Legacy corridor.
