At the city council meeting on Tuesday night, Chief Spencer presented Certificates of Merit to several officers. Officer Meraz was given a Certificate of Merit for performing CPR on October 17, 2022 where the patient later walked out of the hospital on his own. Officers McDuffie, Sidwell, and Womer were given Certificates of Merit for their actions on a shooting call on September 28, 2022. These officers applied a tourniquet, gauze, and badges to the patient's multiple gunshot wounds before he was transported to the hospital where he survived.

Friendly Reminder: Election Day is Saturday, May 7. Addison residents can vote at any Dallas County Vote Center from 7am - 7pm. There will be two Vote Centers in Addison:

- Loos Field House - 3815 Spring Valley Road

- Fire Station 1 - 4798 Airport Parkway

Remember, today is your last day to register for the Nay 7th election. Early voting is April 25th - May 3rd.

Texas law requires eligible voters to register by the 30th day before Election Day. The voter registration deadline for the May 7 Election is April 7. You can check your voter registration status and print a voter registration application on the Dallas County Elections website: https://www.dallascountyvotes.org/

Dallas County's Election website reminds voters that in Texas, you cannot register to vote online. If you use an online "voter registration" service that pre-populates your information, you must print and mail it to the county where you are trying to register. The address for Dallas County is:
