The Readiness Brief - Money Values at Home
This week, pick one simple way to make money more visible at home:
1๏ธโฃ Name the choice
When you say yes to something, name the trade-off in simple terms.
Example:
โWeโre choosing this now, so weโre waiting on that.โ
2๏ธโฃ Give them a small role
Let them help compare prices, plan for a treat, or save towards something they care about.
3๏ธโฃ Use the three-option question
When they get money, ask:
๐ โDo you want to spend, save, or give with this?โ
You donโt need a lecture.
You need small, repeated moments that help money feel less mysterious.
If questions come up about how to fit this into your family routines, feel free to reach out.

Planning Trips Without Wrecking Your Financial Progress

The Readiness Brief - Travel Planning
Before summer plans get busy, take a few minutes to map the trip into three buckets:
1๏ธโฃ Trip cost
Transportation, lodging, and the basics you already know are coming.
2๏ธโฃ Trip spending
Food, activities, small purchases, and the โweโre on holidayโ extras.
3๏ธโฃ Trip after-effects
Anything that lands after you return - pets, childcare, time off work, or catching back up.
Then ask one question before you go:
๐ โWhich part of this trip do I want to pay for intentionally, instead of letting it blur into my normal month?โ
This isnโt about taking the fun out of the trip.
Itโs about knowing what youโre saying yes to.
If questions come up while youโre mapping it out, feel free to reach out.
