Autumn Auctioneer

On a whim, my boss Myers Jackson signed me up to compete in the Rookie contest at the Texas Auctioneers Association Convention last night. I was a little upset at first because I felt unprepared but man, am I grateful for him pushing me into it! Such a great experience, my first time selling to a room of over 100 people and maybe my fifth time calling bids live ever 😅. It was a pleasure to compete, feel the nerves, and draw #1 to go first out of all the Rookies! 😂

Last week I had the pleasure of going on a short sabbatical at to further immerse myself in the auction industry and sharpen my education. It was an honor to learn from some of the best auctioneers in the country. Learning to call bids was the highlight, this video is my second time ever calling bids. Eventually I developed somewhat of a chant with rhythm. (Not seen here lol) The friends and connections I made while an auction school are invaluable. I am grateful for the friendship and support and the experience will have a lasting impact in my life.
