Every child deserves access to the care they need to thrive. 💙
On Chronic Disease Awareness Day, we're highlighting Michigan's Children's Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) program, which helps children with qualifying chronic health conditions receive specialty medical care and support.
More than 2,700 conditions may qualify, including diabetes, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, hearing loss, cystic fibrosis, blood disorders, and many others.
CSHCS may help cover:
✔ Specialist visits
✔ Medications
✔ Medical equipment
✔ Surgeries and hospitalizations
✔ Transportation to appointments
If your child sees a specialist for an ongoing health condition, your family may be eligible for assistance.
