I got recognized ON THE STREET

by somone who had seen me in my scene at Mana Wahine at Kumu Kahua Theatre last weekend!
That was wild!
(And flattering!)

I rarely get to meet the authors of the books i narrate, and tonight I got to meet TWO!
Shay Kauwe on the left, author of The Killing Spell, coming out on April 14(!!), and Alicia Upano on the right, author of Everything to the Sea, coming out on July 14!

I LOVED narrating this book.
You know what else I loved?
Re-recording a good portion of a chapter because the subject’s pronouns had changed since publication, from she/her to they/them.
The fact that Beacon Press cared enough about that to send those corrections to me says a LOT about the care that went into this book.
Can’t wait for y’all to hear it ❤️
