PTSD Awareness Month

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. It can involve a range of symptoms, including intrusive memories, avoidance of reminders, and negative changes in thinking and mood. By raising awareness, PTSD Awareness Month helps to break down stigmas associated with mental health conditions, making it easier for individuals to seek help.

Equine assisted therapy can help those with PTSD in many ways. The calming presence of horses can help reduce hyper-vigilance and anxiety while boosting confidence and helping individuals feel more empowered to manage their PTSD symptoms.
