Couchton Fire & Rescue

This past Tuesday evening, Couchton Fire & Rescue conducted a training exercise focused on rural water supply operations. The training session acquainted our personnel with dump tank operations, drafting procedures, and equipment utilization for various scenarios. We appreciate the participation of our members in this training initiative.

We are honored to announce that our department has been awarded a VSAFE grant, along with multiple other departments across the State of SC. This grant award will enable us to acquire a skid unit for our ATV unit, allowing us to extinguish brush fires in areas inaccessible to larger apparatus and transport patients from wooded areas if necessary. Moreover, we will purchase new hose and rehabilitation equipment for our department. We appreciate receiving this grant, which will enhance our ability to protect our personnel and the community.
