I started this business with a few pieces from my own closet, and we have grown to the thrifted-fash

Had such an awesome time at the Akron Rag Market hosted by !!

Had no idea what to expect for my first show but it was so much fun!

Thanks to everyone that came out and shopped or even just stopped in to say hello. It was so awesome meeting you all!

you are a magician

Literally in LOVE with my new hair!Carly always kills it so if you’re local, hit her up!

Getting my hair done was my big self-care act this month, and I wanted to chat a little about what it means to practice self-care every day.

For me, it’s a morning routine with no phone (which I’m not the best at but I’m trying), my cat, music or a book, and a good breakfast.

I love taking baths when I’m feeling stressed and I rock climb to work out a lot of my anxious energy!

Having a good balance of mental and physical activities is the key. Allowing both your body and mind exercise and time to recover is so important for good mental health.

Balance will look different for everyone, so take time to learn how to listen to the signals your body is sending you. And remember, showing yourself love is top priority!

Drop some of your favorite ways to practice self-care in the comments and save this post so you always have the list!

Okay it’s time… 😅

Time for us to chat about what it means to be a creative entrepreneur online.

Sometimes it’s the best job in the world and other days it’s the toughest.

Sometimes I smile so huge at the comments I get and other times they make me want to throw my phone down the garbage disposal.

Sometimes I’m full of ideas and ready to share them with the world and other days I’ve got a huge creator’s block and want to hide from everyone.

Sometimes sales are rolling in non-stop and other times it feels like no one in the world is shopping.

Sometimes I want to give up and get a “real job” but then I remember the good.

I remember that I can work from anywhere in the world.

I remember that I can set my own schedule.

I remember that I can post what I want, whenever I want.

I remember that I get to be my own boss and call all the shots.

I remember that I have so many customers and followers cheering me on.

I remember that this is my absolute wildest dream that I get to live every day.

Thank you for helping me do that 🥰

Thank you February ♥️

This moth always feels like it flies by. I know it’s a few days shorter, but there’s something about it that just makes it feel like life is moving faster than I am. Not in a bad way, just in a way that makes it so there’s plenty to reflect on.

In December I decided to step back from social media. I needed time to recover and create without the pressure of a public audience. I’m so glad that I did.

At the beginning of February I realized it was time to come back and share what I had learned. Both my time away and my time since coming back have been full of amazing lessons. Here’s my top 3…

1.) Rest is Necessary My Loves

I was living in denial-land happy as a clam until burn-out smacked me right upside the head and said “you thought”. I quickly realized I was traveling down and incredibly unsustainable path towards the permanent shut down of my business. It was time for something to give.

2.) Creating Content With No Plan Is Pretty Dumb

I had no brand values. I had no schedule. I had no idea what I was doing. During my time away I took space to come up with what I wanted my core message to actually be. Once I had that, I thought about how I would achieve it. Now I have a planned out structure of what & when I’ll post.

3.) Celebrate The Little Wins (pls)

I stopped doing this back in September or October. I lost sight of all the little wins that make up the big ones. I started to stress when sales came in and obsessed over my analytics on IG every day. When I stepped back and didn’t have any sales coming in, I realized how much I missed packing orders. I also realized that IG analytics mean nothing when we’re talking about my business’s worth.

If you’re starting to feel burnt out, it’s probably time to take a step back and re-evaluate how you’re operating your business. My DMs are always open if you have questions.

Progress is progress

✨Had fun creating this little graphic today. It’s been a while since I created content like this, but as the picture says, progress is progress. I’ll be coming back slowly over the next couple of weeks and I’m going to keep this post in mind. I’m doing my best not to rush and to integrate The Hippy Edit into my life again a little at a time.

Bel kind to your mind 💕

✨It’s so important to take care of your mental health as much as your physical health. Stress can end up negatively impacting your body too if you don’t have a way to manage it. Journaling, exercise, and yoga are some ways I manage my stress! What are your favorites?
