Almost done. They will all darken like the one in the corner, made months ago. Food safe finish.

This Christmas, two grandsons will appreciate a new chessboard with pieces and checkers. This one is walnut, and Elm, framed in Cherry with a Purple Heart Trim. The other is trimmed in yellow (Movingui). I found the elm that went into this years ago and I wanted a project that would really allow its figuring to pop. I love the grain in this board. This was my first actual French polish. My arm still aches :) IYKYK
