WIFFLE BALLS?!?

March 1, 2025, has finally arrived! The days are getting longer, the air is warming up, and soon, the grass will be turning green. With the change in seasons, more and more people are starting to think about golf—dusting off their clubs, shaking off the winter rust, and getting ready for the season ahead. One golfer in particular, Mark, is gearing up for an early start to his season with a trip to the Carolinas. But there’s just one problem—his ball striking is not where he wants it to be.

Since it’s still too early to set up my outdoor driving nets, we had to get creative. So, we turned to hitting wiffle balls. A lot of people underestimate them, but they actually behave just like real golf balls—they slice, hook, top, and react to poor mechanics the same way. The only difference is that they don’t travel far. At the end of the day, IT'S ALL ABOUT MECHANICS and movement in the swing! If your fundamentals aren’t solid, it doesn’t matter what ball you’re hitting—the results will show.

And this is where technology becomes a game-changer. My camera sees everything—the good, the bad, and the in-between. When we filmed Mark’s swing and watched the replay, something became immediately clear: what he THOUGHT was happening and what was ACTUALLY happening were TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT things. This is a common experience for golfers at every level—our perception of our swing doesn’t always match reality. Once Mark saw the footage, the adjustments became obvious. We fine-tuned some fundamentals, made a few key changes, and within minutes, his ball striking improved dramatically. And the best part? He felt the difference himself.

This is what I do. It’s not about forcing a textbook-perfect swing on every golfer—it’s about working with your natural motion and finding what works best for you. Small adjustments can lead to massive improvements when they’re based on your unique swing. Golf is a game of feel, but feel is only as good as the mechanics behind it. That’s where coaching, video analysis, and the right drills come in.

If you’re looking to improve your game this season, now is the time to start. If you enjoyed this post, give it a like! Thanks for checking in today—more to come soon!

The 2024 season has arrived already and are already taking appts starting with two monday April 22.. Exciting that season is beginning, exciting on filming swings and watching peoples reaction on the replay, showing the root of their swing issues.. And than going back in, developing some drills, swing thoughts to correct the issues. And folks, THAT you can take to any driving range, golf course and fairway and have a better score!
Also coming up, with the help of one of my clients that went from mid 50s down to consistantly low 40s ,high 30s, because of the constant swing replays, he will be working on upgrading the website with videos etc. over the next couple of weeks.
A question to ponder...I believe it is 68% of our score is from 100 yds in to the flag..Pitching,chipping and putting...Will say 70%....Why is a lot of lesson fee$$$$ put towards the working of long swings control?? Am putting together a real space to work with that 40 yds and in to the flag, along with real space on chipping in to the flag..And real space for developing that tweeking of the putting stroke!!
And till later
