We are working on a super rad exhibit showcasing all the different designs of blank VHS tapes. In the meantime we keep them all on this rack in the museum so you can still see how unique and nostalgic they are. Got any sealed blanks collecting dust or just want to help contribute to the museum? Don’t hesitate to reach out, there are so many more out there that we need to preserve.
Which ones are your favorites?

What does all of this have to do with each other? Well, we are smashing this together and creating two awesome events we will be announcing this week. One to close out the summer with a slam, and a Halloween party with some real voltage. LFG!!!!

Check out this oversized promotional piece from 1988. It’s a big fella for sure. This was part of the rental store promotional campaign for Friday The 13th Part 7 - The New Blood.
Not my favorite in the series but it was fun and had one of the best face reveals for Jason. Rotten, waterlogged, and meticulously designed by John Carl Buechler to feature all the wounds he sustained in the previous movies. Thanks to Ken at for the hookup on this dope piece of history.

Who remembers Crystal Pepsi?! If you were around in 1992 it was hard to miss with an $8 million dollar Super Bowl campaign bringing in Van Halen to tell you to buy it Right Now. Even crazier was the move that Coca Cola pulled to completely nuke the clear cola craze. They intentionally created Tab Clear as a sacrificial product that tasted like stale medicine to be right next to Crystal Pepsi on the shelves. This led to confusion and consumers thinking both drinks tasted weird and ultimately caused the downfall of that market. Six months after Tab was pulled from the shelves in 1994 Crystal Pepsi was canceled.

Tiki Underground is hosting an incredibly generous “Non-Profit Night” to benefit The Killer Video Museum!
🗓 Thursday, June 11th ⏰ 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM 📍 Tiki Underground
$1 from the sale of EVERY cocktail and mocktail will go directly toward funding our massive Community Rental Initiative!
We are expanding our rental program with a bold goal: to offer a deeper, rarer, and more diverse selection of physical movies than Netflix, Shudder and Screambox combined. Ultimately offering more movies than Blockbuster Video. While streaming algorithms constantly delete titles, KVM is making sure cult classics, rare horror, independent films, and local history remain accessible to everyone.
Come enjoy a beautiful evening, sample creative concoctions, and connect with fellow film buffs and tapeheads. Don’t forget to try Tiki’s wonderful small plates—including excellent vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes!
With your help, we can build a physical library the community can actually touch, browse, and enjoy. See you there! 🌴📼✨
Shoutout to for hooking us up with this sick flyer.
